3.0L Duramax® Turbo-Diesel and 5.3L EcoTec3 V8 Engines

If you’re looking for an alternative to traditional gas engines for your 2020 Chevrolet Silverado 1500, you’ll definitely want to take a look at the available 3.0L Duramax® Turbo Diesel option. Not only does it crank out a thrilling 277 horsepower and 460 lb.-ft. of torque, but it can also handle a 7,600-lb. towing capacity1 and 1,870-lb. payload capacity2. Moving right along, we get to the 5.3L EcoTec3 V8 system, which comes in two variations—one with Dynamic Fuel Management (DFM) and one without. Although they both provide 355 horsepower and 383 lb.-ft. of torque, the former can handle an 11,600-lb. towing capacity1 and 2,202-lb. payload capacity1 with the Max Trailering Package equipped. When you select the V8 engine without DFM, you’ll still be supplied with an enviable 10,000-lb. towing capacity1 and 2,180 payload capacity2.
